This is a huge perk for us “geeks” to feel part of something larger than our own individual efforts AND it permits us to find out not only from the specialists, but from each other.

As I was evaluating courses and constructing my Skillshare evaluation, I was continually dissatisfied by the lack of closed captioning available on the videos. This basically makes the platform difficult to use for those who are hearing not able and impaired to read lips. Minus points for exclusivity!
Not every instructor ROCKS
The difference in quality of trainers can be a consistent difficulty on your method to knowledge gain. Since having the ability to teach successfully is a hard-won skill in it of itself, it would be naive to believe that every trainer on the platform excels at the fundamentals of mentor.
A good quality indicator is the number of trainees a course has actually hosted, as greater numbers tend to associate with higher quality trainers. This isn’t always the case– some courses are just niche enough to not appeal to the “masses” anyhow.
Conclusion: is Skillshare Worth it?
The possibility to find out for learning’s sake is reason enough for me to comfortably proclaim that Skillshare is worth it. The hands-on tasks and ability to connect with others, including experts in your desired fields of understanding, makes the $14 a month charge a bargain. The onus is on YOU to identify which courses would bring you the most worth, whether you aim to boost your resume with sparkling competitive skills or assert yourself as a professional hobbyist.
Skillshare members can gain far more than simply new abilities from the courses. You’ll fall in love with learning again, meet motivated and knowledgeable peers that will challenge and motivate you, and might find yourself addicted (nay, obsessed!) with gaining knowledge.
Add a line item to your yearly budget for Skillshare access. Your brain will thank you for it!
